All about Magnet and Magnetism
Hey everyone, how are you today? I have a question for you. Have you ever played with magnets? It’s so interesting! Right? Well today we are going to learn about magnets. LET’S START!
What is a magnet?
A magnet is an object that produces a magnetic field. We can not see this magnetic field.
What’s a magnetic field?
A magnetic field is an area around the magnet. So whenever something made of iron or another magnet comes in that area, the magnet would be attracting that iron or the other magnet. But if something is out of the area, the magnet won’t be able to attract the thing. (The area around a magnet is invisible).
What are magnetic poles?
A magnet has two poles. One is called the north pole and the other is called the south pole.
What happens when the north pole of a magnet meets the south pole of another magnet?
When the north pole of a magnet meets the south pole of another magnet then they attract each other.
What happens when the north poles or south poles of two magnetics meet?
When two same poles meet each other they repel.
