What is a hot air balloon?
Hot air balloons are used for entertainment and fun activities. People ride them to get spectacular views from up in the air.
What is a hot air balloon made of?
A hot air balloon is made of a vast envelope. The envelope is made out of synthetic fabric. The envelope is normally big so that it can hold a large amount of gas inside it and may carry a couple of people. Balloon also has a burner that heats up air in the balloon.
How does a hot air balloon work?
The hot balloon burner heats the air in the envelope. As a matter of fact, hot air is lighter than cold air and always rises up.
As bruner heats up air in the envelope, the air inside it becomes hot. The air outside the envelope is cold. The hot air inside the balloon raises it.
